The Challenge
Student Housing Management companies are faced with the challenge of moving students out quickly so that new students can move in. We partner with Student Housing Management companies across the country in order to “turn” their off campus apartment housing before “move in” of the new students coming in. For example, most properties will move out July 31st and the new students will move in August 15th.
The Solution
We typically go in and start painting the inside of the apartments August 1st. This includes moving and covering furniture, prepping the walls and trimming. Next, we typically send our cleaners in around August 3rd or 4th in order for the Painters to get ahead. The cleaners are responsible for doing deep cleans for the new resident’s arrival. The last part of the turn, which is the fastest, would be the steaming of the carpets. And, finally, we make sure that a couple of painters and cleaners are on-site on move-in day, just in case something is needed.
